YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy & cookies.

How we use information when you visit our website or discuss a project with us.

Last updated: 26 September 2026

Who is responsible for your information?

Liongate Consulting is a brand of Liongate Construction Ltd. Liongate Construction Ltd is the data controller for information processed through liongateconsulting.com. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email info@liongateconsulting.com or write to us at Green Lanes, Newington Gr, London N16 9BS, United Kingdom.

Information we collect

When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to provide, including your name, business email, company, project name, required service, project location, stage, preferred start date and message. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or confidential project documents through the initial enquiry form.

Our website and service providers also process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, request times and security logs. With your analytics consent, we collect information about pages viewed and actions such as successful enquiry submissions and clicks on our email or telephone links. We do not send your form answers, name, email address or project name to Google Analytics.

Why we use information

  • Enquiries and proposals: to respond, understand your requirements and prepare a proposal. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract where applicable, or our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries.
  • Delivering our services: to manage the engagement and communicate with you. We rely on performance of a contract where applicable and legitimate interests in managing business relationships.
  • Security and spam prevention: to protect the website, detect misuse and keep our communication channels usable. We rely on our legitimate interests in maintaining a secure service.
  • Website analytics: to understand how visitors use the site and improve its usefulness. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw through Cookie preferences.
  • Legal and administrative obligations: to keep records required by law and establish, exercise or defend legal claims, as applicable.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers and international processing

We use Namecheap for website hosting, Microsoft 365 for email, CookieYes to manage cookie preferences, and Google for reCAPTCHA spam protection and consent-based Analytics. Information may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or claims, and with consultants where required to deliver an agreed engagement.

These providers may process information outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where a restricted international transfer occurs, applicable safeguards are required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up, taking account of whether a project proceeds and any ongoing relationship. Project and contractual records may need to be retained longer to meet legal, accounting and insurance obligations or address disputes. Retention depends on the purpose, the nature of the information and applicable obligations. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised. You can ask us about the retention of your specific correspondence.

Cookies and your choices

Necessary cookies support website security and remember your privacy choices. Google reCAPTCHA assesses technical and interaction signals to distinguish genuine visitors from automated abuse; it may set the _GRECAPTCHA security cookie. Google processes reCAPTCHA data on our behalf for security, fraud and abuse prevention.

Optional Google Analytics cookies, including _ga and _ga_*, are used only when you accept analytics. They help distinguish visits and measure usage. We configure these cookies to expire after 12 months; CookieYes stores your consent choice for up to 12 months. Browser settings or service behaviour may shorten these periods.

You can reject optional cookies and still use our forms. Use at any time to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection on this browser; it does not affect processing that already took place lawfully. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal information, restriction of processing, or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where we rely on it. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/, or to your local data protection authority where applicable. We would also welcome the opportunity to address your concern directly.
